Down the Drain: How the Rochester Water Reclamation Plant Helps Keep the Zumbro Clean

Thursday, Aug. 8, 6:30 p.m. Cascade Meadow Wetlands and Environmental Science Center, 2900 19th St NW,  Rochester, MN

Everybody puts water down the drain, but what happens after that. Learn how the City of Rochester Water Reclamation Plant cleans wastewater before releasing it into the Zumbro River. Also, learn what new challenges the plant may face in the future with a growing population and "contaminants of emerging concern" like salt and medicines.

Join us on Thursday, August 8, 6:30 pm, Cascade Meadow Wetland and Environmental Science Center, 2900--19th St. NW, Rochester. This program is part of the monthly Zumbro Watershed Partership (www.myzumbro.org) "Water Ways Speaker Series" that takes place the second Thursday of each month at the Cascade Meadow Science Center.
