The Watershed Game

Keeping rivers clean and safe is a lot of work, but sometimes, it can also be a lot of fun. This month you'll get a chance to play "The Watershed Game" a simulation game designed to teach residents and government officials what they can do to keep our rivers and lakes "Cleaner, Safer, and a lot more Fun."
The program, hosted by Minnesota Extension Educator Doug Malchow, takes place on Thursday, June 13, 6:30 pm, Cascade Meadow Wetland and Environmental Science Center, 2900--19th St. NW, Rochester. This program is part of the monthly Zumbro Watershed Partnership ( "Water Ways Speaker Series" that takes place the second Thursday of each month at the Cascade Meadow Science Center.

In this game you'll take on the role as landowners and make decisions about how to manage your property in a cooperative mission to clean up pollution in the watershed. Participants lean how a variety of land uses impact rivers and the people who live in the watershed.
