Zumbro Watershed Planning Meetings, June 7-8, Public Welcome

The 1st round of meetings for the Zumbro River Watershed (ZRW) Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategies (WRAPS) process will be held June 7 and 8. Times and locations of the meetings are:

 

South Fork Zumbro River and Lake Zumbro Sub-watersheds

Tuesday June 7th, 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Middle and North Forks Zumbro River Sub-watersheds

The meetings are taking place in Rochester, Wanamingo, and Theilman in order to give interested citizens ample opportunity to participate in and learn about the WRAPS process in the ZRW. 

 

This round of meetings will review the designated polluted waters in the ZRW and examine sources for pollutants in urban and rural areas.  In addition, presentations will address water quality modeling of current conditions and future scenarios to reduce pollutants. Results from values-based modeling to prioritize areas for restoration and protection will also be presented. 

 

The public is welcome to attend these meetings.
