2013 "SLOW THE FLOW" Rochester Community Rain Barrel & Compost Bin Sale

Returning for the 6th year to Rochester is the Truckload Rain Barrel and Compost Bin Sale Graham Park (Olmsted County Fairgrounds), near the intersection of Hwy 14 and Hwy 63 in Rochester.

When: ONE DAY ONLY! Saturday, May 4th 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (or while supplies last)

Where: Graham Park (Olmsted County Fairgrounds), near the intersection of Hwy 14 and Hwy 63 in Rochester

What: Fifty-five gallon Rain Barrels for $70 (a $150 value) and  Compost Bins for $60 (a $100 value)

The ZWP hopes to get as many rain barrels and compost bins out into the community so that everyone can be a part of clean water and good land stewardship. So, they will be bringing in a semi-truck of bins and barrels, which will be sold at significantly reduced prices. The sale is also a fundraiser for the ZWP with a portion of each sale going towards supporting their clean water projects right here in the Rochester area.

The sale also is a chance to learn about gardening, rain gardens and our local Zumbro River through educational booths from the Master Gardeners, City of Rochester Public Works and Zumbro Watershed Partnership.

Water customers of Austin, Owatonna, or Rochester Public Utilities are eligible for a $10 rebate on each of up to five rain barrels per account.
